Former Clark High School coach jailed for lewdness with trainee

lewdness. Juan Alfredo Chavez, 25, was arrested Thursday on one count of felony lewdness dedicated by a person over 18 with a child 14- or 15-years-old.

Chavez acted as a kids university soccer coach at Ed W. Clark High School. He was a volunteer and not a school district worker.

Police said the arrest was the outcome of an event that reportedly took place on Oct. 20 at the school including a 14-year-old woman.

As of Oct. 20, Chavez is no longer enabled on any CCSD home and has been removed from the approved coaches list. He acted as a coach because Dec. 2010 and successfully passed a background check, police said.

Las Vegas lewdness suspect now faces child-sex claims

Police said the children understood the suspect and that investigators are seeking more possible victims.

Tegrin Shelley, 45, was first jailed in February on 6 counts of lewdness with a child under 14 from a minimum of one 2012 event, Las Vegas Justice Court logs show. As of his last court appearance last month, he was on house arrest.

On Aug. 12, prosecutors submitted 3 more charges, two counts of sex attack with a kid under 16 and one count of kidnapping of a kid and sex, records reveal.

The alleged sex attack events occurred in 2011 and 2012, while the kidnapping presumably happened this Aug. 12.

Further information on the claims were not right away available Friday evening, nor was it clear if Shelley remained under house arrest when the kidnapping occurrence allegedly happened.

Shelley was reserved without bail at the Clark County Detention Center right after the 2nd set of charges were submitted, logs reveal. He’s next scheduled in court Sept. 15.

Teacher'' s aide detained in lewdness probe

A 29-year-old instructor’s assistant at an intermediate school has actually been arrested in connection with a lewdness investigation including a student, according to North Las Vegas cops.

Charles Darville Young was booked into the Las Vegas City Prison on Friday on charges of enticing a small with a computer system for sex acts and open and gross lewdness, authorities said in a news release.

Former Metro Explorer dealing with sex assault, lewdness with minor charges

A former member of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Explorer Program is facing numerous charges in connection with a relationship he had with a teenage lady.

Joshua Honea, 21, is accuseded of a number of counts of sex assault versus a child, kidnapping of a small and lewdness with a kid.

According to Honea’s arrest report, investigators in March learned of an ongoing sexual relationship Honea had actually had with a 16-year-old student at Bonanza High School.

Honea, who at one time volunteered at City’s Enterprise Location Command, was talked to by investigators and rejected having a sexual relationship with the woman.

The victim’s mother informed detectives that her child met Honea when she was in the sixth grade. She explained Honea as controlling but said she was uninformed of any charming participation between the 2. Honea had actually functioned as a counselor at the girl’s intermediate school.

According to the report, when investigators spoke with the victim, she stated she and Honea started having sex when she was 12 which the 2 frequently drove to gambling establishment parking area to have sex.

North Las Vegas instructor to take plea deal in youngster lewdness case

A former North Las Vegas primary school music teacher is taking a plea offer to prevent an initial hearing and trial on felony charges that he fondled a minimum of 8 youngsters.

Jeremiah Mazo’s legal representative, William Terry, told a North Las Vegas judge on Thursday that his client will certainly plead an equivalent of no contest to three counts of attempted lewdness with a small under 14.

Twenty-nine other charges would be dismissed.

The 54-year-old Mazo will get at least 5 years in prison at sentencing. He might stand up to 60 years.

Justice of the Peace Natalie Tyrrell arranged Mazo to enter his plea July 27 in Clark County District Court.

Mazo remains imprisoned on $150,000 bail. He was suspended from Hayden Elementary School following his arrest April 24.
