Officials say a Carson City constable’s deputy is dead after a suspect opened fire on officers responding to a domestic violence call.
Authorities state the suspect was later on discovered dead at the scene of the fight, which occurred a little after 2 a.m. Saturday on Montez Drive in East Carson City.
Constable’s officials state deputies were reacting to reports of domestic battery and reported a hurt woman at the scene. Deputies say the male suspect came out of your house within minutes and fatally shot one of the deputies.
Added officers reacted and left 3 children from your home. They varied in age from 8 to 13.
The Reno Police Department has taken control of the examination.
Information about the officer and the suspect were not immediately released.
