HENDERSON, NV( FOX5) -. Animal activist groups held a demonstration Saturday afternoon versus an animal retail store in Henderson.

No Eliminate Las Vegas and Nevada Voters for Animals joined forces to bring further attention to recent infractions that were brought against Petland of Henderson. “This is an opportune time to highlight the inhumane conditions these puppies come from and the local services that decide to make money from their trade,” said Bryce Henderson, president of No Kill Las Vegas.

Henderson animal control officers discovered several offenses at the store, situated at 510 Marks Street, in November that led to criminal citations amounting to about $13,000.

Authorities said 15 of the 39 pups at that time were being housed in overcrowded enclosures, while likewise having a sick pet dog in the general population.

There sufficed infractions that officers could have closed business, however Henderson cops said the goal was to help with the learning procedure of what has to be done to keep facilities like this one operating.

” Our hope is that the city revokes Petland’s license to do company in the City of Henderson,” said Henderson.

Nevada Voters for Animals and No Eliminate Las Vegas explain themselves as nonprofit organizations supporting animal rights.
