> David Becker Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 performs at the Pearl Theater on May 26. Memorial Day weekend 2018 has come and gone in Las Vegas– who needs a nap? We can tell you who should have some rest: Pink. The vocalist, songwriter and well-rounded onstage eager beaver blew her Vegas audience away Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena on her Stunning Injury World Trip stop. She doesn’t just sing and dance. She performs her hits and crowd favorites from other artists, and she flies all over the arena with an aerial regimen that would impress Cirque du Soleil’s acrobats. Lucky for you, she’s returning to the Strip next spring, with a return date at T-Mobile on April 12, 2019.

The event of the new-look Palms continued over the holiday weekend as punk-pop clothing Blink-182 opened its brand-new residency at the Pearl Theater Saturday night and shiny new bar location Peak Social Club drew lots of celebs to have a look at efficiencies by rap legend Nas, “Tonight Program” and Roots bandleader Questlove and Blink drummer Travis Barker. Amongst the popular faces partying on the 55th flooring: design and starlet Emily Ratajkowski, “Vanderpump Rules” star Scheana Shay, “Empire” starlet Serayah, “13 Reasons” starlet Ajiona Alexus and Internet comedian The Fat Jewish.

Speaking of brand-new locations and brand-new headliners, the reconditioned Mandalay Bay Occasions Center was looking mighty great for the routine season launching of our most recent home team, the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, who played it close with the Seattle Storm on Sunday but could not come away with the W. This is going to be another amazing, major-league sports experience in our city and we extremely suggest you grab tickets to an approaching home video game. MGM Resorts International added a lot of Strip star power on Sunday with a pregame efficiency from the “Michael Jackson ONE” team, a stirring National Anthem by Boyz II Guys and a fantastic halftime show starring Jabbawockeez.

In show news, “X Burlesque” commemorated 16 years of performances on the Strip Thursday night with a red carpet reception at the Flamingo followed by an efficiency at Bugsy’s Cabaret including brand-new set pieces, music and dance numbers. Producers and directors Angela and Matt Stabile welcomed guests including Cheryl James of Salt-N-Pepa, magician Xavier Mortimer, burlesque beauty Melody Sweets and more. And across the street at Caesars Palace, there’s a brand-new summertime schedule and some special visitors at “The Cocktail Cabaret” at Cleopatra’s Barge. The program moves to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and functions Broadway veteran Brent Barrett (filling out as emcee for Eric Jordan Young) and singer Heidi Webster (substituting Maren Wade).
