Twelve-year-old Amy Martinez was strolling to school in Santa Ana, California when an unusual female got her. Soon after, a lady who had actually just taken her child to school saw the frantic Martinez dealing with the suspect. “She stated she had, in her mind, 5 seconds to come up with something to save this kid,” stated Cpl. Anthony Bertagna with the Santa Ana Authorities Department. The good Samaritan told the suspect that she was the child’s mom and demanded she let her go.
After the suspect released the 12-year-old, the good Samaritan took Martinez to school and called 911.
” I want to say thank you for saving my life, and you’re my hero,” Martinez said when inquired about the kind female who saved her.
Authorities later jailed the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Claudia Hernandez Diaz, according to the Orange County Register. She was imprisoned on suspicion of kidnapping a kid under the age of 14. Martinez’s mommy spoke with the paper and said she was stunned with school authorities alerted her of the circumstance. She stated from now on, her child will be driven to school by a member of the family.
