LVMPD react to 780 East Pyle Opportunity( Chris Lee/ FOX5). LAS VEGAS( FOX5)- Las Vegas Metro cops are examining an officer-involved shooting that left a man dead and a female injured in a Silverado Cattle ranch neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
Lt. Cervantes said officers were initially dispatched to a domestic disturbance situation at 5:38 p.m. at a convenience store on 780 East Pyle Avenue, near Bermuda Roadway and Cactus Opportunity. On arrival, officers experienced an armed guy who was strangling a lady outside of the business.
Authorities stated a 10-year-old woman, the couple’s daughter, neighbored and officers took her to a safe location.
The occurrence intensified into an officer-involved shooting, Lt. Cervantes stated.
Officers consistently released spoken commands for the guy to drop his 9mm pistol and asked the woman to attempt and step far from him, authorities said. When officers saw the male pointing his handgun straight at the woman, an officer fired their weapon 4 times.
