According to Lt. David Gordon, soon prior to 8:30 p.m., a 30-year-old male, recognized as Steven Ramirez, strolled into the junk food dining establishment where he had formerly worked, he demanded to his supervisor that his hours be increased after they were pressed back to 30 hours per week.
Ramirez informed the manager he did not wish to “shoot the location up.”
The supervisor rapidly called 9-1-1 and had six workers and 4 consumers leave discretely out a back door.
Police, including City’s air unit, got here on scene not long after. They went into the business and took Ramirez into custody.
After additional investigation, a 30 round magazine with a semi-auto rifle was in Ramirez’s pocket. According to the search warrant for the suspect’s backpack, police found a partly dismantled semi-auto rifle and a machete knife.
He had those items with him when he remained in the dining establishment.
No injuries were reported.
Ramirez was scheduled into the Clark County Detention Center for bring a concealed weapon without a license, bring a concealed machete without an authorization, and own or possession of a gun by a prohibited person.
