LAS VEGAS( FOX5)-. Las Vegas Metro police said two individuals were detained after three people were shot, and another individual was grazed, in east Las Vegas Tuesday afternoon.
Police took Tyrone Eagland,18, and Zachary Hewitt, 20, into custody Wednesday in the 700 block of West Lone Mountain Roadway. Eagland and Hewitt were accuseded of 3 counts of tried murder, three counts of battery with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, 5 counts of releasing a weapon into an occupied structure or automobile, and 3 counts of conspiracy murder.
Lt. Grant Rogers of Las Vegas Metro authorities, said a minimum of 20 rounds were fired at about 4:40 p.m. at 354 N. Nellis Boulevard in a parking lot in between a SuperPawn and Denny’s dining establishment.
Detectives stated the two suspects entered into an argument with a number of individuals who were leaving a service. During the argument, one suspect started to shoot at the victims. He continued shooting as they crossed the street into a car park where cops said bystanders were hurt.
A 10-year-old woman and her mom were hurt in the shooting. They were required to Dawn Health center and are expected to survive, cops stated. The third individual was shot in the hip. A spectator driving in the area was grazed by a bullet and numerous vehicles were also struck by gunfire, cops stated.
” I heard the shooting. I looked across the street by the Denny’s. Two guys ranging from the side of the Denny’s shooting at each other. One had a gun the other lagged chasing him,” witness Levina Robinson said. ” Here is where they got my car. (A bullet) went through and lodged at the top of the roofing system. Which essentially was it. I took off, I was frightened.”
