Cops have arrested a 13-year-old suspect on arson charges stemming from a little brush fire that broke out north of Reno.

The fire that started about 7:40 a.m. Thursday burned about one-quarter acre near Martin Luther King Park off of Lemmon Drive just west of U.S. Highway 395. No one was hurt and no structures were harmed.

Truckee Meadows Fire Defense District representative Adam Mayberry said Friday the Washoe County School Police detained the teenager on 2 arson counts.

In addition to that fire, the youth was booked on suspicion of beginning another blaze reported earlier about a block away.
