According to the affidavit, 21-year-old Sherman Lackland was sitting in a booth with 2 people he knew, playing the No Lackin Difficulty when Lackland supposedly mistakenly shot his buddy.
“A genuine loud bang, then I see the man across from him fall in the flooring,” said Thomas Fitzpatrick, who was inside the restaurant when the shooting took place.
Fitzpatrick said the three guys were all sitting together when the teenager was shot. After the shooting, Fitzpatrick stated Lackland was noticeably upset and distraught.
“He began getting him and telling him to obtain up and after that he was kind of mad and was swinging stools and things,” Fitzpatrick said.
Lackland is now dealing with charges after playing a video game some say need to never be played once again.
“That’s not exactly what they’re made for, and they shouldn’t be having weapons in the very first location,” Rebecca Birch stated.
“It’s something that you should not damage,” West Moore said. “It’s too many kids being killed as it is.”
At last check, the victim remains in important condition.
Lackland is charged with intensified attack, negligent endangerment, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
