In response to an FBI raid on his individual lawyer, our president has declared: “Attorney-client advantage is dead” and called it a Democratic witch hunt.

Apparently, in the course of his examination into Russian meddling in our 2016 election, special counsel Robert Mueller (a Republican, initially selected as FBI director by George W. Bush) discovered something that appeared to be a criminal offense by Cohen. The violation was obviously outside the scope of Mueller’s project, however it was major enough for him to bring it to the attention ofDeputy Attorney general of the United States Rod Rosenstein (a Republican, designated by Trump). Rosenstein took a look at the evidence and determined that it called for further analysis, so he designated it to the U.S. Attorney in New York City.

That U.S. Attorney’s workplace, after carefully examining the proof, took it to a judge and requested a search warrant. The judge determined that there was sufficient proof to believe that a crime had actually been devoted, and after that released the search warrant, which was carried out by the FBI.

So, the search warrant was authorized by a judge after having the validation presented by a Republican politician, who had actually received the proof from a Republican, who got the proof from a Republican.

Someone explain to me how this is a Democratic “witch hunt.”
