Workshops will concentrate on subjects such as transitioning from military to civilian life, enhancing job-seeking abilities and social media.
On Saturday, companies will be at the career fair from 8 a.m. to noon.
Among those participating in the two-day event are Metro Police, the Clark County Fire Department and the Nevada Department of Public Security, which is hiring Nevada Highway Patrol cannon fodders, parole and probation officers, and public security dispatchers.
The occasion, hosted by UNLV’s Armed force and Veteran Provider Center, was organized in combination with the university, U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto’s workplace and various nonprofit companies.
