Woman detained after displaying weapon at Kardashian boutique

LOS ANGELES– A lady who pointed a weapon at employees inside the Kardashian-owned DASH store in West Hollywood while shrieking about Cuba and after that returned hours later on to wave a machete at press reporters has been jailed, Los Angeles County sheriff’s authorities stated Friday.

Maricia Medrano, 35, was arrested on suspicion of assault and making criminal threats, the constable’s office said in a statement.

Medrano strolled into the DASH boutique late Thursday morning, pointed a handgun at two workers and shouted “keep away from Cuba,” the declaration stated. She then knocked a number of items off a counter and left.

About 2 hours later on, Medrano returned with a 14-inch (36-centimeter) machete and swung it at reporters and photographers who had gathered outside the store after the robbery, threatening to stab them, the statement stated.

The female was recorded on video saying, “The Kardashians will be performed if they step on communist territory.”

Nobody was injured and the Medrano got away both times before deputies showed up.

Sheriff’s detectives served a search warrant at Medrano’s house in Los Angeles Thursday night and discovered 2 guns that fire BB-like projectiles. The weapons looked much like the one used inside the store, the statement said.

Medrano was apprehended and was being held Friday for absence $50,000 bail.

A message left at a number listed for Medrano in public records wasn’t instantly returned. The constable’s department did not know if she had an attorney who might discuss the accusations.

The 3 sis established DASH, which offers clothes and accessories, in 2006. There is a 2nd store in Miami Beach, Florida.
