When faced by North Las Vegas Authorities, Randall William Howe, who utilizes the on-air name Randy Howe, rejected the accusations, saying he was “itching awfully” and was scratching himself, according to the arrest report.
A video monitoring system captured the alleged incident, authorities stated. Howe was imprisoned on one count each of public indecency and open gross lewdness, authorities said.
Howe, who covers sports for KSNV News 3, bailed out of jail Tuesday, an online search of prisoner records at the City of Las Vegas Detention Center showed.
A worker at the unidentified tavern called authorities about 9:15 a.m. to report that a client sitting at a slot machine at the bar had actually allegedly been masturbating, according to the report.
An employee informed responding officers they noticed the patron display screen “weird habits,” that included walking to the restroom with his penis outside his trousers, authorities stated.
Surveillance video reviewed by authorities revealed the client unzip his trousers and fondle himself, according to the report.
Howe insisted he was not masturbating, saying he had a serious rash and was scratching himself, the report stated. He said he “most likely shouldn’t have been scratching himself at the bar which it was a bad decision,” according to the report.
Howe had actually been drinking on an energy drink and was not drinking alcohol, the report said.
