. A Las Vegas guy who mailed cannabis to Pittsburgh, where it ended up in college schools, was sentenced to six years in jail, the office of the U.S. lawyer for the district of Western Pennsylvania revealed Tuesday.
Ryan Schanck, 30, who was sentenced to 71 months, was captured in a multiyear operation, officials stated.
Authorities had actually declared that Schanck and co-conspirators trafficked up to 1,000 kgs of the plant and washed about $260,000 of its earnings, authorities stated.
The perpetrators, from 2012 to 2017, would ship the pot from the West Coast to the Pennsylvania location through the U.S. Postal Service, authorities stated.
Federal Judge David Cercone “stated that the sentence was sufficient, but not higher than essential, to achieve the goals of sentencing,” authorities said in a press release.
